Change of passport

The main document issued by the state foridentity card of any citizen of the Russian Federation on its entire vast territory, is primarily a passport. He must have everyone who lives in Russia and has already reached the age of fourteen, although a passport can be obtained before reaching the specified age.

Such procedure as the replacement of the passport is carried out in the following necessary cases:

- when the citizen turns twenty years old;

- when he reaches the age of forty-five:

- if the name, patronymic or surname is legally changed, as well as the date of birth or his place:

- with a properly certified sex change;

- with further inability to use this document due to its loss, damage, deterioration, etc .;

- if an error or inaccuracy is found in the entry made in the passport;

- with a cardinal change in the appearance of its owner.

The passport is replaced by the territorialby the migration service body at the place of stay, residence or at the place of application of the citizen in the order determined by the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. Documents and photos are handed over within thirty days from the moment when the basis for replacement has come.

Replacement of the passport, documents for which alreadysubmitted to the relevant authorities, is carried out within a ten-day period provided that it is registered in the place of residence or if the previous one, the lost one, was received in the same unit.

Only after providing the relevant documents is the passport is replaced:

1. application for replacement, written in the form No. 1P;

2. two photographs taken in the appropriate format;

3. documents on the basis of which the Russian passport must be replaced:

- for citizens who have reached 20 or 45 years of age - a passport that must be changed;

- for citizens who have changed in accordance with the laworder your data - passport to be changed, a certificate confirming the change of name, a new birth certificate, a certificate of marriage registration;

- for citizens who change their passports due to the impossibility of their further use or due to changes in their appearance - the document to be replaced

4. all necessary documents on the basis of which the relevant notes in this document will be marked - a military ticket, as well as a certificate of marriage registration, of birth (for children who have not yet reached the age of fourteen, a certificate of divorce, certificates confirming the registration of a citizen at the specified address ;

5. receipt for entering the fee.

According to the Tax Code, the fee is 500 rubles.

If a citizen expresses a wish, then for a period ofthe time of which will be the replacement of the passport, he will be issued a temporary certificate or a certificate stating that he has been given all the documents for the registration of a new passport.

In the event that a citizen has submitted forreplacement of the passport is not a complete package of documents or his photos do not meet the established standards, he is invited to change them or provide missing information.

A citizen who permanently resides outsidelimits of the Russian Federation and arrived at his place of residence in Russia, he can obtain a new passport on the basis of the document that certifies that he is a citizen of the Russian Federation outside our country, with the mandatory presence in them of a relevant note on de-registration from the relevant diplomatic or consular mission of their state.

Those who do not have the appropriateregistration at their place of residence or residence, have the opportunity to replace the passport to apply to the regional visa office, located at the place of his real residence.
