How to record sound at home

Sometimes it becomes necessary to write downcomputer this or that sound. This program takes quite a bit of disk space, and even a child can use it.

After Audacity is installed, you needPrepare to record the sound without any interference from the side. Therefore, you need to optimize the space around you and make sure that all kinds of noise is as small as possible. To do this, close the doors tightly, and also disconnect all devices that are nearby, which can produce sounds that interfere with recording. Even the mouse is best kept at a certain distance from the microphone, because the clicks of its keys can also be recorded. To record sound was as clean as possible, try to refrain at this time from working with a mouse or do it as quietly as possible.

The next step is to connect the headset to thecomputer. On the front panel of your system unit, you can see two round connectors of different colors. Connect the headphones to the green jack, and the microphone to red (or pink). It is indicated by a brown or yellow square around its center.

The received record can be saved. To do this, go to the "File" menu and select the "Save project as" option. In the appeared window you can select the file storage location, and then enter its name in the corresponding line (the file type should not be changed). Listen to what happened, you can, by opening the folder in which you saved the record. You can do this through both the regular browser and the program itself, by going to the "File" menu and selecting the "Open" option.

However, it is not necessary to save the record immediately, because you can listen to it even after you click on "Stop". If you are not satisfied with the soundtrack, you can delete it.
