Pavel Bazhov: "The Stone Flower" and other Ural tales
Bazhov. "The Stone Flower" - the magic of the folk tale
This work, like all other tales of Bazhov, written by him from the words of the Ural craftsmen and at most represents a literary processing of folk folklore. Narrative of the work about the stone cutter Danilushka, who was stolen from the wedding by the mistress of the copper mountain - a mythical character of ancient Ural legends.
Recreating anxiety, life, hopes and attitudessimple workers in the stories - that's what Bazhov wanted. "Stone flower" in this respect is no exception. According to the story, the protagonist Danilushka wholeheartedly wants to understand the natural beauty of the stone. He can not do this independently, and he asks the hostess of the copper mountain to show him the legendary stone flower. Seeing his unearthly beauty, Danila, as the legend warns, remains forever in sorrow, for even the white light does not turn out to be nice.
The Stone Flower
In 1946 based on this work and other tales of the collection "The Malachite Box", the film "The Stone Flower" is released. This old tape with confidence can be called ethnographically accurate. It most realistically revealed the folk customs of one particular region. It is quite difficult even to determine the genre of the film - this is not a magical fantasy fiction, nor is it a historical picture.
The tape brought to the viewer an extraordinary storylove of his craftsmanship, a story of talent and loyalty. Uralic tales immerse the viewer and the reader in the mythological atmosphere of ancient traditions, the real roots of which are still unknown to anyone. Their main idea is the statement that not everything in this world is measured in money, and not all can be bought.
