In many fictional universes from films orbooks (including the epic "Harry Potter", "Star Wars", "The Lord of the Rings", the worlds of countless television series) are created whole encyclopedias. But the background information is not always interesting, and creative fans zealously began to conquer the heights of a new genre - fiction based on the worlds and universes of other authors. The fanfiction as a genre became completely independent, acquired unique features and began to develop according to its own laws. Moreover, amateur stories and novels are surrounded by an uncommon terminology. So, for example, what is a TNA? This is an abbreviation, which should be considered in more detail.

Once and forever

anime

Although the abbreviation is translated from Englishliterally as "the only true pairing" (One True Pairing), it characterizes not so much literary or other artistic creativity as the mood and point of view of the fan. It happens that the love line in the writer's world is logical enough and consistent. There are many examples: Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre, Eddard Stark and Caitlin Tally, Volha Rednaya and the vampire Len. Such TNAs are the classics of the genre. Inspired by the narrative of the book or the imagery of the film, the fans develop, supplement, or fundamentally turn the story upside down, while maintaining a great and selfless feeling between the main characters (usually). But it happens, of course, in a different way.

Infinity of options

Not everyone is happy with the fact that Bella Swan remains withEdward Cullen. Someone says to her in the grooms of a charming werewolf instead of a brilliant vampire, someone more like the perfect blond Carlisle, and someone is completely determined and sees in his imagination Bella in the arms of Rosalie. If fantasy is persistent, people turn it into a creative impulse and create a whole work - whether it's a story, a novel, a poem, a video or a drawing. OTP is primarily a subjective perception of other people's characters and the nature of the relationship between them. It's no wonder that fans of the "Twilight" universe, identifying themselves with the main character, tend to choose "themselves" in a pair of subjectively most attractive men from those who are somehow mentioned in history.

I'm a legend

The most popular (and, oddly enough, leastreadable) genre in terms of OTP is a fanfiction with Mary Sue. Mary-Sue is a collective name for the projections of the author's personality in the beloved universe. Of course, since childhood, everyone wants to become a character in a fairy tale or an amazing story - and not at all predetermined by the main or secondary hero. At some point in life, everyone wants to remain in the fictional world by themselves. Hence the rampant fashion for novels about "hit people" - ordinary modern people who suddenly find themselves inside a book, film or computer game. The same happens with the TNA: anime, movies, serials, novels in the imagination of fans are supplemented by new personalities. The author enters in a strange world either himself (as is) or a character (Mary Sue), very similar to himself. Alas, but very few people are interested in such stories: readers need a hero for identification, not for admiration - and in fact the authors of stories about Mary-Sue expect the latter in the first place.
