Silentblock is one of the componentsparts of the suspension. And although its size and design do not give the opportunity to associate it with any super-important element, such as a piston, it can still affect the safety of traffic, and very seriously. What are they?

Front silencers of front leversfundamentally do not differ from their "brethren", which are installed on stabilizers and shock absorbers. They all have the same design and are a small rubber-metal hinge, which consists of two metal bushes, between which is placed a rubber spacer.

Functions

The front silencers of the front levers are used forconnection of suspension parts. Thanks to the inserts between the steel bushings, the front silent blocks of the front levers extinguish vibrations transmitted from one unit to another. Lifetime

As a rule, the front silent blocks of the frontlevers can function normally for 70-100 thousand kilometers. However, if they are subjected to increased load (for example, if the car constantly drives through pits), it will serve at least 40 thousand kilometers. You can determine the serviceable state of this part in two ways:

• Visually. In this case, the state of the inserts is checked - if the rubber peel off, this part changes to a new one.
• At the SRT. Here, a complete diagnosis of the running gear is carried out and then a decision is made about what measures to take.

• The lever is unscrewed and removed from the fasteners.
• Under the ball is brought a jack and lifts up the front suspension. After the jack is lowered in order to pull the ball out of the fist suspension. Usually it goes without much effort.
• With the help of a stripper, the old rubberblock is pressed out and a new one is pressed into its place.
• Mount the lever back and twist all the bolts.
