In life, everything is different. And sometimes married couples understand that their family boat flew into the reefs and irrevocably collapsed. And it happens as with those who lived in a civil marriage, yet with those who went through the Sacrament of the wedding. And if the official divorce does not cause any special problems, the discrediting of church marriage is a rather complicated thing. On the one hand, the church gives vows that can not be violated, and on the other - no one is immune from error. If once in his life he made a mistake, and family life turned into a nightmare, does God really want this situation to continue? Especially in the case when it is impossible to solve conflicts in any other way. Is it possible to debunk a church marriage?
Does the Orthodox religion permit a divorce?
First of all, we should always remember the attitudeLord to this issue, which is recorded in the book of Malachi 2:16. It clearly states that God does not accept the divorce of marriage. The Bible clearly states that conjugal ties are for life. In Matthew 19: 6 it says what the Lord combined, let man not separate. At the same time, God admits that sinful people enter the union, and that, therefore, there can be a dethronement of marriage. To enforce the rights of those who choose to divorce, especially women, in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 24: 1-4) certain laws are established. In the Gospel of Matthew (Chapter 19, verse 9) it is said that remarriage and divorce are possible because of treason. At the same time, permission to re-union is given to the injured party.
Church divorce
Since in Orthodoxy there is a sacramentweddings, then we can logically assume that there must also be a dethronement of church marriage. However, there is no such rite in Christianity. And so the term dethronement from this point of view does not quite fit. The church is allowed only to re-enter the church marriage. In order to again hold the Sacrament of the wedding, one should obtain permission from the corresponding diocese. Initially, the marriage union is registered in the official government bodies, and then, after receiving a positive response to the petition, you can apply to the chosen temple and again get married. When the rite is held again, there is one point: if both spouses re-marry, during the ceremony they do not have crowns on them, but if at least one of them makes a marriage for the first time, the crowning takes place as usual.
Who can receive the blessing to remarriage
Dethronement of church marriage is not resolved by everyone. There is a certain list of reasons why this becomes possible:
- Treason.
- Presence of venereal or incurable diseases.
- Drug addiction, alcoholism.
- Incurable mental illness.
- Creation of a threat to health and life and harm to one of the spouses.
- Abandonment of the family.
However, reasons such as lack ofearnings, dissimilarity of characters, poor relations with relatives, the church is not recognized, and most likely, with the reference to them, a refusal will be received. Therefore, the wedding should be treated thoroughly, only if you are completely confident in your chosen one or your chosen one. And if there are problems, still try to find a compromise, while showing love and mercy, as the Lord teaches us in the eternal book of life.</ p>
